SAULĪTE
coffee set (1964.-1970.)

Artist Zina Ulste made the coffee set “Saulīte” in 1964. It successfully combined a simple form that meets technological requirements with an artistic plastic solution. The cylindrical forms of the dishes were well suited for the silk-screen decal, while the laconic silhouette with slender spouts created a memorable set. All this was complemented by a relief decal, which depicted the name of the set, resembling sun’s rays. Continuing the tradition, this set was also produced for 6 and 12 people, supplying the large set with a coffee pot of the appropriate size.
